Twelve hours after returning from Tulsa, Carlos and I flew out of Lubbock for Anaheim, California. Texas Tech met up with Michigan in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament.
After Texas Tech won the game against Northern Kentucky on Tuesday, it was time for the Red Raiders to move on to the round of 32. The Buffalo Bulls were the next opponent for Texas Tech. The Red Raiders won 78-58 to advance to the Sweet 16 for a second straight year.
This week Carlos, Matt and I traveled up to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Texas Tech returned to the NCAA tournament for a second straight season as the No. 3 seed, facing off against No. 14 Northern Kentucky. With each first/second round site hosting eight teams, there was plenty of basketball to watch and photograph.
